Hi! I just came across this site for the first time today. . . wow. . . I have been on many sites and have done some dating, but I always wondered when the best time would be to bring up my struggles with the other person and when I did the response was someone telling me what they thought I needed to do or, and often, I wouldn’t hear back. . . I’m really hoping this site will be different. . . So a little about me. . . I deal with asthma. . . but it is under control, I have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and getting better all the time. . . the disorder has resulted in Chronic Fatigue and I work through both with therapy, power walking, yoga, meditation, good diet, and proper rest. I am a mother of two grown children and a grandmother of four. I am retired for disability reasons, but I am trying to slowly establish myself as an artist. . . I presently have my own website and am looking into other avenues. . . but taking it one day at a time. . . as this is how I need and choose to approach everything. . . slowly but surely. I enjoy reading, writing, painting , drawing, dancing to name a few. I like to sit and listen to interesting conversations about people’s interests and how they came about doing what they do or feeling how they feel about any given topic, while enjoying a good meal or having a drink. Movies are a big interest of mine. . . and if I get the chance to watch the makings of one that really drew me in, and listen to the producers speak about why they felt they had to make the movie and what was the message(s) they hoped to bring across, I’m more than happy! 🙂 I grew up near the ocean in Nova Scotia and one of my favourite things to do is to be by any body of water, to walk or just sit and take in the peacefulness and listen to the quietness. . . I value the little things in life. . . things that are so easy to take for granted. . . a child’s laughter, watching a bird soar through the air, the smell of clean sheets as I crawl beneath the covers, or the feel of a cozy blanket around me as I relax to read Jodi Picoult’s latest novel. All the little things that contribute immensely to making my day great! I feel I have a lot to add to someone’s llife. . . someone who can also appreciate all that the now has to offer and still look forward to the tomorrow with the hope and courage life generally takes. Interested? Should add that my photos are almost 5 years old. . . my daughter says I look the same. . . but I’ll try to get her to take some new ones. . .

You. . . You appreciate yourself enough to take care of yourself whatever the need may be. . . you’re someone who wants to be around for a long time. You don’t have to be a really physical type of person per say, but you enjoy physical activity to some extent. . . . dancing, walking, weight lifting perhaps. . . you try to stay conscious of the condition of your body. . . if only for health reasons. . . so you probably watch what you eat as well. . . not looking for a fanatic by any means but definitely a conscious effort to eat fairly nutritiously. . . . A spiritual person to some extent. . . not necessarily religious, but someone who values all life. You may have some struggles on an emotional level but you aren’t in denial. . . and you are open to finding ways to feel better about yourself and your surroundings. You always treat me with respect and understanding for where I’m at in life. . . and you try to be a good listener. Of course knowing more about these issues comes in time. I don’t expect to have everything in common, but some things would be nice. Now you tell me about you and if you think and why you think we might have the makings of a lasting union?
